Odisha MSME Global Mart: how local sellers can use it
What NSIC's MSME Global Mart and the new Odisha State e-Pavilion on it are, what they offer Odisha sellers, how they compare with your own online store, and how to get started.

MSME Global Mart is a portal run by the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) where small businesses can create a digital presence, get tender alerts, trade leads and buyer enquiries, and — since its 2.0 upgrade in 2026 — sell in both B2B and B2C modes. In September 2026 the Odisha government launched a dedicated Odisha State e-Pavilion on the portal to showcase the state's ODOP products, GI-tagged items, clusters and artisan enterprises.
For a weaver cooperative in Bargarh, a cashew unit in Ganjam or a fabrication shop in Cuttack, this is a useful additional sales channel. Below is what we could verify from official and news sources, what it means in practice, and how it fits alongside your own website and WhatsApp.
What was launched, and when
MSME Global Mart 2.0 (June 2026)
According to an NSIC media release dated 30 June 2026, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan formally launched MSME Global Mart 2.0 on MSME Day 2026. NSIC says MSMEs can use both B2B and B2C functions on the upgraded portal, and that listed MSMEs become discoverable by buyers across ONDC-enabled buyer apps such as DigiHaat. NSIC describes the portal as providing enterprises with digital identities, 24x7 visibility, RFQ tools and direct trade leads.
Odisha State e-Pavilion (September 2026)
On 3 September 2026, Chief Secretary Anu Garg launched the Odisha State e-Pavilion on MSME Global Mart in Bhubaneswar, in the presence of NSIC Chairman and Managing Director Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, as reported by OrissaPOST and UNI. The reports describe it as a dedicated digital showcase for Odisha's MSMEs, meant to provide structured access to national and international digital commerce opportunities, featuring:
- One District One Product (ODOP) products
- GI-tagged items
- Industrial clusters
- Artisan enterprises
The reports also mention agreement on convergence of efforts between NSIC and the Odisha government. Details such as the number of participating units or a separate Odisha registration process were not published in the reports we found.

What the portal offers sellers
NSIC's MSME Global Mart information page lists these features for members:
| Feature | What it means for an Odisha seller |
|---|---|
| Digital presence | A listing for your business and products on a government-backed portal |
| Tender alerts | Keyword-based alerts for tenders matching your products |
| Award of contract information | See who won tenders in your area of work |
| Trade leads and RFQs | Buy and sell enquiries from other businesses |
| Franchise, subcontracting, distribution | Leads for partnerships beyond direct sales |
| ONDC discovery (2.0) | Visibility on ONDC buyer apps such as DigiHaat, per NSIC |
For B2B sellers — fabricators, food processors, packaging units, handloom cooperatives selling in bulk — tender alerts and RFQs are often the most valuable part.
Fees and the e-commerce subsidy
NSIC's page refers to an annual membership or subscription fee but does not state the amount; check the current fee at msmemart.com/membership before you apply. NSIC also states that:
- Under the Adoption of e-Commerce component of the PMS scheme, NSIC provides financial assistance of 75% of the amount paid by micro enterprises, up to a maximum of Rs. 25,000 per financial year (excluding taxes). All micro enterprises with a valid Udyam registration are eligible, according to the page.
- An 80% financial assistance is offered to micro and small enterprises under the NSSH (National SC-ST Hub) scheme.
Scheme terms can change, so confirm eligibility with NSIC or your District Industries Centre before you rely on the reimbursement.
How to get started
- Get your Udyam registration in order. It is needed for the micro-enterprise subsidy and is useful for almost every MSME scheme.
- Prepare your product information. Clear photos, honest descriptions, specifications, minimum order quantity, and GI or ODOP details where they genuinely apply.
- Join through the portal. NSIC's page links to the membership page at msmemart.com; it also lists a contact email (info@msmemart.com) for queries.
- Set up keyword alerts. Choose keywords that match how buyers describe your products, not only your own internal names.
- Respond fast to leads. A trade lead or RFQ is only useful if you reply with a clear quote. This is where a WhatsApp bot or simple CRM helps.
Which Odisha sellers benefit most
Based on what the e-Pavilion is reported to feature, these groups have the clearest reason to list:
- ODOP producers. If your product is the one your district is promoting, a government showcase gives you a credible platform alongside others from Odisha.
- GI craft and textile units. Weavers and artisans producing genuine GI products — such as Sambalpuri Bandha, Bomkai, Kotpad or Berhampur Patta — can present that authenticity to buyers who specifically look for it.
- Clusters and cooperatives. Groups that can handle bulk or institutional orders are well placed to use RFQs and trade leads.
- Suppliers to government and large companies. Tender alerts and award-of-contract information help you see opportunities you would otherwise miss.
If you sell mostly to walk-in retail customers in one town, the portal is less central; your Google Business Profile and WhatsApp will usually matter more.
Portal vs your own store

A government portal and your own website are not competitors; they serve different buyers.
- MSME Global Mart is strongest for B2B: tenders, RFQs, trade leads, bulk buyers and ONDC discovery.
- Your own store is strongest for retail and repeat buyers: you control the design, the story behind the product, pricing presentation and the customer relationship.
A handloom cooperative, for example, might list on the Odisha e-Pavilion to reach bulk and institutional buyers, while running its own store for individual saree buyers in Bengaluru or Mumbai. See our guide on selling Sambalpuri and Odisha handloom online, and try our demo store "Odia Handloom Co." to see what your own store could feel like.
Making leads count with automation
Portals, marketplaces and your website will all send enquiries. The businesses that win are the ones that reply quickly with the right information. A WhatsApp bot can send your catalogue, price range and MOQ the moment a lead arrives, and an AI lead tool can score enquiries so your team calls the serious ones first. | What you need | Our starting price |
|---|---|
| Own e-commerce store | ₹50,000 (~$530) |
| WhatsApp bot for enquiries and orders | ₹30,000 (~$320) |
